Why water won't do
Server rooms hold sensitive, energized electronics where water or foam would cause as much damage as the fire. They need clean-agent gas suppression such as FM200 that leaves no residue and doesn't conduct electricity.
Downtime is costly, so detection must be early and suppression fast.
Early detection matters
Aspirating smoke detection (VESDA-type) samples air continuously to catch smoke at the earliest stage — far sooner than standard detectors. Combined with clean-agent suppression, it gives the best protection.

Designing it right
The system must be sized to the room volume with proper sealing, abort/discharge controls and integration with the building alarm. Compliance with the Egyptian Fire Code is essential.
